Las 10 Tecnologías Que No Deben Faltar En Tus Clases

No cabe duda que el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje ha sufrido cambios durante los últimos años. La globalización, el uso del las tecnologías, el enfoque constructivista y colaborativo, y los intereses y expectativas de los alumnos, entre otras, han sido factores que de alguna manera han influido en este proceso. Por lo tanto dicho proceso ha tenido que verse en la necesidad de adaptarse para cumplir con las demandas de la sociedad y de las exigencias del mundo en que vivimos.

Las TIC (Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación) han jugado un rol importante. Manuel Moreno Castañeda menciona en su artículo “Las TIC para la educación en el siglo XXI (Educación para la autonomía y la convivencia) que es recomendable que las instituciones replanteen los sistemas educativos hacia un enfoque más innovador que proyecte características como aprendizaje significativo, autogestivo, participativo, autocipatorio, y creativo. Una herramienta en la cual nos podemos apoyar es utilizando los medios electrónicos de telecomunicación y los sistemas de información.

Ante esta situación y según el Dr. Esteban Ocampo Flores, Decano de la Facultad de Educación, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, una de las grandes tareas y retos que tenemos los docentes es el de conocer estas nuevas formas de comprensión, cognición, interacción y construcción del conocimiento para saber integrar las TIC en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

El propósito de este artículo es presentar 10 herramientas tecnológicas que podrían apoyar y facilitar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje tanto de una segunda lengua como es el ingles (English as Second Language, ESL) como de cualquier otra materia. También compartiremos nuestra experiencia en esta área.

Antes de implementar en nuestras clases alguna de las TIC que mencionaremos a continuación, es necesario considerar lo siguiente:

1) ¿Se ajusta a nuestras necesidades? ¿Se cumplirá el objetivo de la actividad?

El usar una herramienta que no sea la adecuada puede causar frustración tanto al maestro como al alumno.

2) ¿Es lo suficientemente clara y accesible?

Si la respuesta a esta pregunta es si, entonces hay que llevarlo a cabo y enganchar a los alumnos en este proceso que lograra una coparticipación más completa y profunda. La misma actividad a través de una tic siempre dará mejores resultados.

3) ¿Cuánto tiempo hay que invertir?

En la mayoría de los casos la planeación y preparación inicial van a llevar mucho más tiempo del que nos llevaría normalmente, pero esto se convertirá en ventaja al final.

Rugrats

My favorite cartoon is Rugrats, the main characters are Tommy Pickles who is the leader he always is looking for a new adventure, Carlitos is Tommy´s best friend , he is a little bit nervous, Angelica Pickles,Tommy´s cousin, is the only that can speak and understand language from both the toddlers and the adults, and she often uses it as an advantage, and she always wants to be the king´s toddlers. The twin-infants Phil and Lil they love all kind of insects, they always enjoy tommy´s adventures and the neighbor Susi Carmichale, she also can speak and understand both languages, but she never uses this advantage to manipulate , that’s why all the toddlers love her.

Someone that I can’t forget is Tommy´s grandfather, he is like this kind of grandpa, that you love, you don’t know why, but he is everything for you ( even if he always falls asleep and sometimes you get lost in the “Reptar-Movil”).

I have seen this cartoon since I had memory, it has been always in my memories and when I listen to their theme, I remember all my childhood; that’s why I don’t have a favorite chapter, but I can remember some of them, in Halloween,etc.. Something that I can remember are the movies, I love the two movies, although I think that I love the movies, more for the memories that I have.

In all my memories I can see myself, sitting on the floor and just enjoying the cartoon, I can remember the peace and the calm that you have when you are a child.

For me this cartoon reflects all the magic that our imagination has, and with all the personalities that the cartoon has, it is easier to break down all the essence of the cartoon; a important point is that you always need someone who inspired you, someone that always said “ You can do it” and always trusts in you, that’s why Tommy is the most important , he is a key point in this cartoon; also we can see very different personalities, Carlitos is someone that always prefers to stay in home and just do what he needs to do, and when he meets Tommy all his world change and the way that he see the world, and obviously each character reflects a specific kind of personality.

For me, this kind of cartoon invites everyone, to imagine, to not be afraid and of course, to enjoy each part of your life, each part has something good, and sometimes we can find a “Reptar”.

Spiderman

Hi, my name is Antonio.

My favorite cartoon is Spiderman; I used to watch it when I was a boy with my brother. It reminds me of my childhood. Spiderman is about a normal guy that gets bitten by a very strange spider and suddenly he has the abilities of a spider like a web, super strange and extreme jumps. It´s set in the city of New York and the reason of his existence is to fight the crime to make a better city for everyone. This is a really interesting cartoon because Spiderman has to personalities, one is a really boring and shy man that is called Peter Parker how has a normal job being a photographer in the daily news, and the other one that is the one of Spiderman who is an outgoing and intrepid person, he is in love with a girl called Marry Jane. I remember that I used to watch this cartoon every time after school and that I felt asleep; this also brings me good memories because when I was a boy I used to have a lot of toys of Spiderman and I used to have so much fun with these ones.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

I am talking about my favorite cartoon; it is Alvin and the chipmunks.

The main characters are Alvin, Simon, Theodore and their father David. The cartoon is about a band made by three animated chipmunks (Alvin, Simon and Theodore) represented by their father David, they get into trouble, and it was funny.

 It’s a lovely and funny cartoon. I enjoyed a lot watched Alvin and chipmunks

 I started watching it when I was a child, I think since when I was even years old. But recently I haven’t been able to see my favorite cartoon because I don’t have time. need to work and go to school and I think it was taken out of open television so I Can’t see it I hope it will be again on the open television because I don’t have television cable his cartoon reminded me my amazing childhood, I saw the cartoon always at the afternoon when I left the school. Theodore reminded me of my cousin, My cousin is one year old and he is a pretty, fat and curious baby.  

My favorite character is Theodore because he is more curious, emotional, innocent and fat than the other chipmunks it’s a tender and lovely character.

My favorite cartoon ever is Doug, I saw it on Nickelodeon every day, the characters were Doug and Judy his sister, his dos Cops, his best friend Tito and Patti  Mayonaissse who he was always in love with.

I don´t remember exactly when I began to see this program but it  was long ago, and it is very long time since I last saw it, I think it is not on television anymore, but if i find it course I’ll see it.

This cartoon always reminds me of my childhood, I also remember my vacation on the beach, because the channels for children were always in English and I always saw it in English, and I remember when I was at home sometimes I used to see this cartoons in English to feel on holiday at the beach.

I remember that the characters in this series were very different from the others, because they were blue, and yellow, and purple, and were very funny. This cartoon will always be my favorite.

THE SIMPSONS

My favorite cartoon is the Simpsons because I started seeing when I was 8 years old, and now I see them in the night, I star see that carton because my cousin see in his house every day, and we talked about the cartoon and that was fantastic for my childhood.

The Simpsons are an American family living in Springfield, Homer, the father, works as a safety inspector at the nuclear power plant with funny and innocent attitude. He is married to Marge, a housewife with their children Bart, a troublemaker with 10 years old, Lisa with 8 years, and Maggie the baby.

Bart is my favorite character, the way they act and how it influences all the characters in the city, but Homer with his crazy ideas makes the cartoon unique.

This cartoon has been one of the most controversial and famous over time, because say how can explain the lives of Americans, the famous Duff beer, and other things... I strongly agree with Bart on all his jokes because during my childhood I was very restless.

Garfield and Friends

My childhood favorite cartoon is Garfield, I used to come every day from school with my younger brother rushed to see it, and I loved it.

The main characters are Garfield of course, the puppy Odie and Garfield's owner Jon. Also in the cartoon had another section called The Orton Farm, which I also liked a lot, there my favorite character was Wade a scary duck.

I do not remember any favorite chapter already, they were all my favorites, also used to see it on the weekends, I think it does not happen in television anymore, but it would be very nice being able to see it again, there is now a Garfield cartoon but is like as third dimension and it does not includes the section of the Farm of Orton, so it's not like in the old days, sometimes I use to talk to my brother or to my friends about the cartoons we liked in those childhood days and is always a good memory.

As Told by Ginger

My favorite cartoon is as Told by Ginger. It’s about a girl who tries to fit in social life as well as in school and tries to avoid any embarrassments. The main characters are Ginger Foutley who is a typical 12-year-old seventh-grader, with her typical best friends and her typical crush on some boy. Dodie Bishop is one of Ginger's best friends. Macie is his other best friend and is the sickest girl; she has all the allergies in the world. Darren Patterson is Ginger's next-door neighbor and her closest male friend. Carl Foutley is Ginger's younger brother. Lois Foutley is Ginger and Carl's mother.

I started to see this cartoon when I was in high school, I was very fanatic I never missed an episode, obviously my favorite character is Ginger in a way that resembles me, I think the meaning of this cartoon is for me the stage of my life in which I grew up. Lately I do not see it as before but when I have the chance to see it on nickelodeon is nice. As I said before, it reminds me of my childhood and the good times when everything was easier.

Candy Candy

CANDY CANDY …

My favorite cartoon is Candy Candy. I starting seeng this cartoon when I was about twelve years because my mom really liked that cartoon and I used to see it with her, almost every day After I finished my homework.I think for that reason this is my favorite cartoon, because I remember great times with my mom.

This cartoon has a lot of characters, but I'll just mention the ones I think are the principal chararters: Candy the main character, Antony who is the love of Candy in his childhood, Terry the true love of candy, Annie Britter the best friend of candy and clint, It's a beautiful raccoon, which Candy loves, and always stood up for Candy.

My favorite chapter is when Candy is on the hill in a crop of roses and meets Anthony, he arrives on his white horse, goes to Candy and gives her a rose, but Candy is very nervous and runs to his house thinking it was just a dream and that Antony did not exist. The next day she tells her friends at the orphanage and all of them want to go to meet the handsome prince of the hill.

The last time I saw candy was about 2 years ago at the home of a friend who bought the collection, I tried to get the collection because i think it would be a nice memory to see this cartoon again.

The Fantastic Four

One of my favorite cartoons when I was child is the fantastic four it´s a superhero team create bye Marvel Comics. The main character is Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, the monstrous Thing (the rock). They have normal life but they have a superhero power to help the humans. I started see this cartoon since 1990, maybe before, i still watching this cartoon once a while.
I remember me arriving to my house after school and sat in front of the TV to see the show, and my mam scream like hundred time for go eat at the kitchen.
My favorite is the rock because he was very strong on the cartoon but with a regular life but he always fight with the human torch, for some problem with a girl.
I saw the movie recently in the threat that’s remembered my moments from my childhood and makes me cry, ha-ha I’m just kidding.
This cartoon and other remember me time of my life when i was i child and just have to sit to watch TV, have fun, go out, eat, take a shower and sleep early.

THE FAIRY ODD PARENTES

My favorite cartoon is THE FAIRY ODD PARENTES, which is the story of a boy named Timmy Turner who nobody understands. He has two good parents; Wanda and Kosmo. They help Timmy to survive in his difficult childhood; they also help him to escape from his nanny Vicky, who is a very selfish and abusive teenager

I started watching it like three years ago, because I have two young sisters who love cartoons. I also like to see Phineas and Pherb and The Power Puff Girls, but nothing could be compared with The Fairy Odd Parents. Watching it reminds me when my baby sisters were younger, we sat down on the sofa with a blanket on our legs to feel warm. My favorite chapter is when Timmy makes a love letter to Trixie, her platonic love. The letter is uploaded on internet so he asks his god parents to turn him on a virus, so he could delete the love letter before it is delivered.

I love it because it makes me remind when I was a child, and I was in love with my actual boyfriend, but I didn’t want anyone to know it. He was my platonic love, just like Trixie is to Timmy. If I were a child I would love to have a god mother, so my life would be easier. This cartoon makes me remember my boyfriend and my little sisters. The last time I saw it, it was three weeks ago, when I went to visit my family in La Piedad.

Doug Narinas

Doug Narinas this is one of my favorites cartoon. Actually I love cartoons but this is one I most remember about my childhood when I was about 10 years old. I didn’t used to watch too much TV but I have a lot of cousins of my age and we used to watch it on Sundays because these days we used to get together at my grandparents’ house. The most I remember is watching it with my cousin Quique and it was so much fun because he is so funny and now I remember I used to spend a lot time with him so when I hear or watch something about Doug Narinas I feel happy.

I love the story of each chapter because it was so much fun and adventure. Doug Narinas was a boy with a lot of imagination and very good writing and he tries to keep the secret about his affection for Patti Mayonnaise. All the adventures in the school he shared with Mosquito “Skeeter” Valentine a blue-gree-skim best friend, he is so funny and has a nervous tic; the other important character is his dog Porkchop who has human-like characteristics and helps Doug in all the situations. Patti Mayonnaise is a girl who Doug has ac rush on because she is good in everything has a lot of talent and Patti likes to spend the time with Doug but we never know if she has the same feeling about Doug.

Actually I hadn’t seen the cartoon because it finished in 1999 and now there is nothing about Doug Narinas, I wish I could see it again to remember about my happy childhood.

Why I like The Thundercats cartoon.

When I was a child, one of my favorite cartoons was “The Thundercats”, the cosmic felines.

I think I started watching it when I was in elementary school. This cartoon reminds me one house. We lived next to the river in Lagos de Moreno. I remember watching tv with my brother Miguel Angel and my sister Ana María.

I liked the colors and the scenes of the Thundercats. The protective suites of the characters and I also liked their arms. The most important part of the Thundercats heritage was the eye of thundera. The eye of thundera was inserted in the mystic sword. Just Lion-O could use it, as the leader of the Thundercats. He could look throw the magic apertures. The idea of watching beyond sight was fantastic.

Still today, I like the different characters such as Panthro, the brain of the team; Cheetara, the valiant and tender women of the team; Tigro, the strong and loyal member of the team; Snarf, the friendly member of the team; and finally, Wily kat and Wily kit, who fought against enemies as adult members. I think my favorite character is Tigro because he represents loyalty and strengh.

The significance of the cartoon.

The idea of an exodus, the heritage of an empire and the dream of fighting against evil has a deeply sense for me. I think this cartoon is formative because it shows the kids that everybody has an enormous responsibility in their lifes and in others life. In the cartoon, as in real life, the adults are called to teach the skills to live wisely.

I think one of the messages of the cartoon is to live with human values such as justice, truth, honor, loyalty. This cartoon is a challenge for social leaders, an invitation to rule wisely.

Finally, I think there is also a religious message in the cartoon. Jaga represents the Presence of Divinity, the need of hope and faith. “I will be with you forever” (Cfr. Jesus en Mt 28, 18-20)
